Dewey's Auto Body is a family owned and operated business that is now in its third generation. We use the latest materials and technology to perform quality repairs at a fair price to get you
back on the road with peace of mind and minimal inconvenience.

Dewey's Auto Body was founded by Dewey Solmes as Dewey's Motor Sales in 1955. After several location changes the business settled in its current location in 1967 and Dewey was joined by sons Russell and David W. In 1984 Dewey retired and sold his interest in the business to his sons. In 1985 the first curing down-draft paint booth in Barry County was installed at the present location.

After several years of growth David's son David D. joined the company full time. The year 2000 saw the retirement of David W. from the company followed by brother Russell in 2005.  In 2021 David’s son John joined the company as the fourth generation.

In 2001 there was another first for Barry County.  Dewey's installed two new Paint booths to increase production and quality. The business has also expanded to include automotive glass repair and replacement along with retail part sales.
